Nick Martinez is an educator, producer, podcaster, and activist, from New York City with over a decade of experience working at the intersections of museum education, youth, and workforce development, mentoring, and science. His passion is to engage and support BIPOC to pursue interests and careers in science and develop strategies for the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion in traditionally non-inclusive spaces. He began his museum career as an undergraduate intern at the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) in the Museum Education and Employment Program, designing and leading tours of museum halls for visiting school and camp groups. After graduation, he returned to AMNH as an internship supervisor, helping to supervise the new cohort of college interns, and was later hired to teach genetics, human evolution, and neuroscience in the Hall of Human Origins Teaching Lab, first as a Lab Facilitator and then in a full-time role as the Coordinator of the Lab. He is currently the Vice President of Education and Engagement at the Museum of the City of New York

Daisy Rodríguez is the Executive Director of Government & Community Affairs for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) where she oversees all NYC and State-based government and community engagement. Ms. Rodríguez is responsible for helping seek public funding (capital and expense) support for WCS. She engages elected officials, community members, and the public on the importance of conservation of wildlife and wild places. Prior to her arrival at WCS in August 2017, she was the Director of Government Affairs at the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), where she was responsible for seeking public support and funding, including helping with the outreach to communities throughout the five boroughs. Previously to joining AMNH, Daisy served as Community Outreach Director for U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer, and as the Senator’s Constituent Liaison helped to resolve numerous constituency concerns and expanded the Senator’s profile. She also served on the Senator’s campaign during his 2004 re-election.

Sheila McDaniel has over 30 years of non-profit management experience, the last 24 years in executive positions overseeing change management processes, operations & administrative infrastructures, strategic planning, and financial management.

In September 2020, Sheila joined the National Gallery of Art in a historic appointment as the first Black woman to assume the role of Administrator. As Administrator, Sheila served on the Executive team. She led teams critical to the museum’s operations: administrative support, architecture and capital improvement, facilities, horticulture, personnel, procurement, and security. She oversaw a division of 440 employees and an annual budget of $120 million for operations and facilities.

Before joining the National Gallery of Art, Sheila served for 16 years as the Deputy Director, Finance and Operations at the Studio Museum in Harlem. Prior to joining The Studio Museum in Harlem, she was Associate Executive Director of Operations at the Hetrick-Martin Institute, Inc, an education and social service organization.
